Isthis Trek safe?

This is the frame, liked these when new.

I,personally, would slap a sticker over it and use it till it died
Nice frame.......but have the cranks been hitting it,must have been a real nob to keep using it like that

fill it with good metal based car filler, paint it and ride it till it dies, just dont go jumping 15 foot doubles :D

I picked it up from the owners mum. What's odd is that it has the old 'blue/grey' LX chainset but the wrong non dive side crank arm? also had flats fitted.
Don't know what to do. It came with the LX STIs, and F&R mechs and I've got a pair of tatty but hardly used Mars Elites and a blue Flite. So wouldn't take much to build up.
Hmmm

Think I'll keep it.
Just gathered the bits together. I have.
LX STI's
LX F&R Mechs
Bottom bracket
LX Chainset, drive side only.
Bonty Mustang rear wheel good but needs a freehub.
Manitou Mars Elites 80mm.
Blue SLR saddle.
Silver 580mm flat bars.
So I don't need too much, I assume it's not worth much $ wise so I won't chuck any money at it.

The bottom bracket I removed was a 107mm and should have been 113mm, that's what probably caused the problem.
The old lady called and told me there were some yellow wheels? in the weeds were the fame had been sat. The wheel I dug out of the undergrowth was a Mustang which I've never heard of.
Weren't yellow wheels really cheap and nasty halfords type things?

Or really expensive and nasty Mavic DH type things?
...but everyone else seemed to love them BITD :D

Are they those aero-section things that weigh a ton and ride really harsh?
