was just a browsing as one does and became a little intrigued by this un, is it my eyes or does it look like titanium, has half decent bits on it too,

but its not titanium is it, is it,

The Ritchey dropouts suggest to me that it's plated steel.

was the intention to make it look like ti though, wasnt there a fad of making ti looking bikes

not ti and not merlin as what you are asking, its a merlin from merlin cycles, its alu

i see, so there are two merlins, merlin famous for Ti, and merlin ccyles,.
you must admit it does look a bit like ti if you squint at it, well to me anyway

I don't think it looks like titanium. There was a fad if that's what you call it of making plated steel frames that looked like plated steel, like the P7 and many others. I think this is probably a Merlin TDB, c1997 or 98. TDB just means Tange Double Butted, so quite a good frame but not as good as the WCS. It could be a WCS with those dropouts, but maybe the TDB used them too and I don't think the WCS had that seat tube sticker. Could go for a bargain price if anybody is near Warrington.
