Is this really a specialized then?

Yes it is . it is a 1991/92 M2 . but it has been repainted . do a search in the ebay watch section , Archangel mentions it .

Not sure?

Hi Guys
Not sure on this one as its the third they have had for sale recently.
The others have had the frame number in the listing and these have definately been genuine. Though in this listing there is no frame number mentioned.
I would ask for the frame number and check it out. But really these guys have a good reputation and I am sure wouldnt risk it for one dodgy S works.

Not the third - the second. It's relisted as unsold first time and looks to be unsold the second time too - can't give it away it seems! :?

There is a frame number - see the listing and please note the carefully worded description as to the exact nature of the frame. And please see my feedback over 8 years as an ebay seller. Would still be 100% if it wasn't for some idiot who for some odd reason left a 'neutral' last week which now effectively counts as a negative.

The guy who owned it was part of an amateur road racing team dating back to the 80's. Used to ride MTB with him in the same MTB club back then.

isn't that the frame number? (edit: crossed replies with above, I guess it is)

I have half an eye on this one too, I remember the M2 with a purple to dark green fade paint job though, but they seem to all show up red here.

And it did sell. Anyone here?

Meantime I tried google images for stumpjumper M2 and got plenty red & blue and some yellow and grey ones. But not a single hit on the purple-green fade paint scheme I remember them for.

Can someone here help? It must have been 1992-3 as I changed jobs and was shopping for a hardtail in 1992. Could also have been 1991 models on sale I guess.

TIA
