Ano equals Anodised, the shiny metalic colour schemes you get on aluminium parts that have had their protective oxide coating electrically charged to attract coloured particles. Purple was a popular choice although pretty much any colour is possible. The exact description of anodising may be miles from mine but it does involve electrical charges and oxide coatings
