Is steel really real?

Steel is most definately the real deal, I've been looking at the Inbred frames as well, just deciding between the single speed version or one with a gear hanger... think it'll be 26" wheels though... maybe.

Re:

Are you buying a full bike? And do you feel the Coyote is holding you back any? IMO the Inbred will be a better bike, the modern geometry and components will outweigh any weight issues. I'd say the Inbred would allow you to ride steeper and faster (and safer) than any 97 bike but if the Coyote does all you ask of it.....

Geometry matters far more than materials at the end of the day....

From that statement I read that the geometry of a modern bike (20515 inbred) is better than my current 1997 Coyote.

Back in 1997 slack head angles were for childrens bikes, I never know what is marketing and what is good!!!

Frame only, the specs of the full bike do not appeal. I would transfer over the kit from my Coyote. To be honest I dont feel the coyote is holding me back, more that the Inbred appears to be a bargain compared to RRP. Oh and it is that REAL STEEL THING

Re:

I should add I have two 97 Coyote HT3s, they just do different jobs. So I wil still have a "hard tail" bike.

To clarify RobMac, an 853 is an On One Inbred single Speed? Is that 26 or 29? Do you notice the weight penalty and what type of riding do you do? I am mostly tarmac and cycle tracks so Alloy frames are not so punishing to me.
Yes its S/S single speed and 26" wheels, it handles like a BMX for grown ups, very direct power delivery, mixed urban assault vehicle, can change direction quicker than your brain can, fitted at the moment with On One's own rigid forks bit harsh and one last thing, the B/B brackets a little low so pedal stick does happen but its got those huge flat poofy peddles on, i'll change to SPD's like all of my other bikes.

I can get a new Inbred 26 for £100 with the finish and size of my choice, I have till the end of this month to commit.
Bloody hell £100, I've been trying to buy a used one for £60, disc brake model, 26" wheel, single speed.

Yes my Coyote has the square rear tubes, not bothered me for the last 18 years though ;)
Try looking up age hardening of aluminium.

There been a 29er inbred in xl on eBay for £99 for the last couple of days. Is there an offer on?

I had an early generation Inbred and hated it. Whats this 'modern geometry' lark btw?? Its exactly the same as many frames from the last 3 decades.

''Last years' head tube angle was so wrong, this years really brings the trails alive'' blah de blah de blah etc etc

Re:

I'm not sure what kit you have on your Coyote but I would guess it wouldn't all be transferable.

100+mm forks?
Disc brakes?
