Bought some new Sennheiser headphones to replace my very old HD480's...and the old ones were much louder (it seems).

Do I smell a H&S rat?

Yes. Limited to i think 100 db to protect your hearing. Buy from out side the EU and will go plenty loud. or change the setting on your iPod

No sliding volume on mine fella....using on my Samsung Netbook....don't think I can go louder

Have a look in the sound settings of the comp, they're quite often on a fairly 'safe' option.... :roll:
