is oxydation terminal

i have just purchased a Kona somethingorother - unfortunately it has a bit of oxydisation of the frame - is this terminal ?? i can salvage the bits - which are decent but ......

brush or polish it off, and you should be good to go for a few more years.

the white powdery stuff is what i assume you are talking about. get it blasted and powder coated and it will be fine.

what did you use? i have a dirty alu gt i was thinking of using g3 then some car polish?

Nitromors to get rid off what was left of the original lacquer. Then Autosol to polish it all back to shinyness. Finished with a couple of coats of Auto Glym super resin polish to protect it.
