Is it worth saving / selling??

If it has sentimental value, clean it up and hang it up, but if not - then sell it on to someone who will get some fun out of restoring it and riding it. That bike has a lot of life and purpose left in it.

I predict it being sold to someone here where it will be stripped out, cleaned up, parts bought and stashed away... left aside for a year while they move house and set up their new workshop... last parts bought and then the bike gets built up and wins BOTM.

Personally, and I know a lot of you guys will think this is not the done thing. But I would strip it down fit a 3 speed hubgear with hub brakes, cruiser bars and fat road tyres ,it would make a splendid town /street bike .Let’s face it it isn’t going to do any serious off roading is it.
I would love it just for the frame and do what I just said.

Or fit drops with a 1x10 drivetrain and call it a gravelorange😉

I've agreed to to buy this one and am looking forward to collecting it.
I plan to strip down, clean up, replace anything that is needed along with fitting some period correct brakes and changing the tyres. And may end up changing the bars and/or stem to make a comfortable riding position if required.
Not sure it will make a BOTM winner, but happy to do a build thread (although it won't be an exciting one) and enter it once it's done.
