Hi guys. I have a c16r just purchased for 130 quid. Just seen a kona Caldera for 200. Would you swap.... What are your thoughts. Shimano alivio groupset on the orange. A mixture of altus and xt on the kona. Both are pretty mint. Appreciate your replies

Both nice with enjoyable handling. Forget about the groupset - with new cables both work well and are indistinguishable in the dark. Personally I'd pick the Kona for all-day rides and the C16 for shorter blasts down twisty singletrack.

Why not have both, or even better still buy my 1993 Kona Lava Dome with DX thumbies, mainly LX other parts, Flite Ti saddle, Panaracer Smoke tyres and ODI grips



Seriously though, if you hang around on here for long you will end up with more than one bike.

Lol thanks for the replies. I am slowly catching the bug. Will more than likely purchase another very soon.
