Is it me or does everybody do a last minute bid now on Ebay?

I mostly bid in the dying seconds - otherwise it seems to push the price and interest up. I don't use a sniper, though.

The only time I'll bid early is when I can't be around for the auction end, or don't really care and just have a maximum price I'm willing to pay.

Anything I'm really trying to win, though, and it's the dying seconds, with just enough time for me to get another bid in, if really necessary.

i sold my zasker frame on ebay 2 weeks ago , it sat at 50 quid for 3 days then with 5 seconds to go it shot upto £121 .....

have faith

well didn't get very exciting prices in the end :(

I think the market's on the way down - or maybe it's just the end of the summer.

I'll often put a low bid in early, mostly so I have a reminder in 'My eBay', but then always leave a final bid to the last few seconds.

Me too, except I use a sniper to do my bidding as I usually forget or something comes up when the time is nearly up (which is why I started using the sniper in the 1st place  ).

My frame of reference is old fords . A few years ago there would easily be 15+ pages of worthwhile ads for actual cars . Now theres about 4 or 5 and a lot of ads are for transportation / man in a van etc .

I think a lot of people have given up with it . Most things have a niche and a forum or two that caters to it so a lot of stuff is sold to the people who would be biding anyway . Doing away with fees and moronic "will it fit my 1901 neverseen mk8 , serial number 12347yjsdb " questions

Ebay is just shops now , if i wanted to buy from a shop id go direct .
