I'd say it's a sin. Even if nobody else notices you will always know. I collect old video games and you somtimes get tempted to make scanned covers for rare unboxed games so they look nice on your shelf, but then it will just play on your mind.

haha...I can relate a bit. I have a copy of Snatcher for the sega cd; it was missing it's box. Eventually a minty box came up for sale.
