I was just about to ask that very question. Did they work, like really work? Wouldn't the seat post have to be greased to allow it to slide up and that would make it difficult to clamp tight?

Mine doesn’t work too bad. The seat post needs to be filed so that it goes up and down and well lubed. Like everything retro it is new and hasn’t evolved to what they are today, but that is what keeps them cool. I would definitely be interested in picking up another one if anyone wants to part with one.
