Iphone frustration...help

Girly bought an iphone today

We set up a itunes account and paid for and downloaded a song she wants top use as her ring tone

How on earth do I do it..easy simple answers please

I think you need to download an app to use your own ringtones.

We purchased the song direct through the itunes store and can play it but i can't see how to turn it into a ring tone too

Not sure iPhone will let you do this???
There maybe an app to do it??

I just seen that after update 10..the latest one..they have removed the ability to take from itunes and make it a ringtone even if you have paid for it through them...I should have read before I paid.

There's a good app to download films mind!!

Download one of the free apps from the app store like Ringtone Designer. You can make ringtones from any song on your phone.

Tried that and it says to select ringtones tab but I am unable to find it?

It's just called "Tones" these days - they changed it when they combined all the ring tones and alert tones so you could use them for either.

It's okay I resolved it..the wifes daughter is going to do it..I'm still using the most basic of trackphones and intend to as long as I can
