i'd like to see more pictures and info on the rotary brake if anyone has some.

There must be a brake test in a mountain bike magazine (I think it was Dezember 1992 of the "Mountain Bike" magazine). Never seen a scan of it but the rotary won. So i guess there might be some infos on the brake in this article.

Rod is/was "one odd duck"! A very close friend of mine (a brother from another mother) worked for him for a number of years and I actually flew up to Cave Junction, Oregon to discuss buying IRD from him and his partner (I have forgotten the fellows name... But he was the "brains").

Rod came off as a pompous jerk and when we toured the shop and he showed me all the antiquated machinery (automated pre-CNC) and "threw out" a ridicules price for the company, I replied...

Okay, but i don't own a boat!

Rod scratched his head and asked" what does a owning a boat have to do with this?"

I replied" The only use I have for this old iron would be dropping it in a harbor somewhere and anchoring my boat off of it!"
