Well not really, but sort of.

Never used to see older GTs (say '90-'92) on Ebay.

All this year there seems to have been at least three a week!

Mainly these have been from '92 with the 'Groove Tube', 'Flip-Flop' and loud paint.

Anyone else noticed this.

Sorry, just a bit bored before we go out to dinner so thought I'd post what I was thinking at the moment - and that (for some reason) is what I am currently thinking about.

That and food / booze of course.

Bye for now.

Yup, the best GT years IMO

This is on at the moment ➡️

Second that opinion Pickle. The early '90s are the golden era of GT. There's something about a triple-triangle with a U-brake.

Don't get me wrong, the later frames are great, my Zaskar is a '94 and the Xizang is '97, but deep down I'd have preferred half-a-pound of U-brake on the both of them (clearly I'm sick, and in need of help – think I'll go and lie down somewhere dark)

Nope, I agree too.

'92 was definitely the best year for GT.

That's when all mine are from anyway...!

They seem to be fetching good money at the moment too. I paid the grand total of £20 for my '91 Karakoram back in april 06 (although I'm sure the cash-on-collection kept the price low), and I don't recall my avalanche costing loads more either.

The karakoram on ebay at the mo is already at £65 although it is in great nick – even has it's original GT-branded Regal saddle (I really want one of those).

I have a standing agreement with her indoors though – the only bike I'm allowed to add to the fleet is a '91 Team Avalanche in Midnight Aurora. For anything else I'd have to loose one first :(

And yet I've never seen one on the bay
