I had a motorbike, fully comp. Bike is sold, still letting insurance run. It states I can ride anothers bike 3rd party.........does this still stand if I no longer own a bike myself ?

I'm not sure if you can. You say the bike is sold, has the new owner insured it? I don't think it's legally allowed to have 2 policies on the same vehicle so one would be void.

Bike was sold, new owner has insured it. I havn't cancelled my insurance to keep my no claims running. B ut i would like to ride another bike owned and insured by someone else.

Why would you pay to insure a bike you don't own or ride. Simplest option would be buy a crap cheap scooter and insure it. Insurance will me under £100 easy. Plus you arent risking getting the new owner or yourself in trouble with the law.

Keeps his insurance going for the very reason hes asking.

If you sell bike A, then want to go out and test ride bike B, you can hand the seller of B the money and take a ride on it, on the 'crash it own it' basis, and at least you are covered if you stuff it into a Roller.

Simple.
