Installing cranks on UN72 bb

FWIW I just ordered 2 sunrace BBs for £5 each plus £3.50 postage from SJS cycles. In addition to the 113mm for the Clockwork I also need a 122mm one for another build. With about 6 projects on the go I’m currently haemorrhaging cash on bike bits left right and centre. Nothing unusual there...

If and when they both wear out I’ll upgrade later - at least I can hopefully confirm what size is going to work first... at this price it’s ok to see them as a consumable. Who knows, maybe they’ll be smooth, durable, and lightweight? ;)

After a battle with a worn crank puller the sunrace is now fitted and cranks look spot on. For a cheap BB it seems well made, but not surprisingly it’s heavier than the un72.

Interestingly it also had a little spacer, plastic in this case and easily removed. Possibly more of a seal than a stop, but I decided to do without after last time...
