There are serious elections going on as well.

The only serious election is a Westminster one. The rest are just manky pigeons scrapping over crumbs. Fortunately I've seen and heard next to nothing about our diddy effort, other than seeing wee Jimmy Krankie's ugly mush on every billboard going. Quite why anyone would use her shrivelled coupon to sell something is beyond me.

Leicester though? Love it. Ranieri has been utter class all season. Part of me thinks he should walk now, he can't ever top that. The other part thinks he should stay and get them through a soft CL group and take more plaudits. Leicester at the Nou Camp or Bernabeu? Just the idea is mental.

One things for sure, SPOTY is pretty much sown up. Team of the year? Coach of the year? Personality of the year? Lineker presenting? It'll be a Leicester love-in.

I was f--ing delighted to find they won it!

What a beautiful counterpoint to the money and agents that seem to rule football these days!

A wonderful moment that will hopefully refocus football on the playing rather than the celebrity aspect.

I would imagine the players will be asking for increased salaries now, but what can anyone do?
