...would you wait for a refund?
I purchased a Thomson stem from another forum, paid for it on April 8th (paypal gift, so no refund from Paypal)
It was posted on the 11th of April
Nothing has turned up at all.
Seller emailed a receipt for the stem, but no proof of postage.
Seller has told me he's put a claim in with Royal Mail around the 18th of April
I emailed him a week ago asking for a refund
No reply
So I emailed again, his response "They take 6 weeks from the date of complaint to resolve any issues with lost parcels. I am not giving you a refund until I hear it from them (Royal Mail) that you have not received the stem and are pulling a fast one"
However there is no way that Royal Mail can confirm that I haven't received the stem is there?
If I was the seller I'd have given the refund and then waited for Royal Mail to refund me.
Am I being unreasonable in persisting in asking for my money back before Royal Mail issue the seller a refund.
I reckon that it's already been 6 weeks since he supposedly started the claim with Royal Mail & I'm getting the feeling I've been fleeced.
Have I been too patient?
Would you issue a refund before Royal Mail refunded you if an item had gone missing in the post?
What would you do in this situation as the buyer of an item you had not received?
