Identifying Judy?

Ok, so I have a set that have been repainted, badly :shock:

How can I find out which model they were so I can get them painted properly?

I'm pretty sure they came as an upgrade on a '94/'95 Specialized bike, so they would have been quite early ones. Due to the brace being canti, and removable I reckon they can't be DH's, so is it just XC or SL?

only difference between real difference between DH and XC/SL on early ones were twin damping cartridges and longer travel. brace etc were the same

IIRC only difference between XC and SL were Ti bolts and an aluminium steerer (thicker walled than steel). Oh and hundreds of pounds!!!!

SL had 5mm more travel than XC in 1995 (and maybe 1996).
In 1996 SL got Easton aluminum stanchion tubes and integrated crown.
