Identifying an odd one

Twosheds you are veritable genius!

I am afraid not! My best friend Google image search can take most of the credit. I had been looking at images of flying gates and remembered seeing a picture of a frame like yours.

It seems you have a great investment there. Searching for "Waller Kingsland" also throws up a couple of bikes that have been in auction catalogues...

One here, http://www.catalogue-host.co.uk/tca/201 ... 2%2fpage_9 , had an estimate of £800-£1200 in 2011....

...and I also spotted that a frame sold on French ebay in May this year for over £1000, http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Vintage-Bicycle- ... 1959972041. (You might have to translate)

If your frame really is number 1, I reckon you could add a fair premium to those values.
Would this sort of value persuade your missus to let you restore it? :D

Can't wait to see progress on this one.

No - its genius alright!

I used to have a TJ Flying Gate - but had never seen something of the like.

The links are great - and wowzer     Worth a fair penny by the looks of it!

I have got in contact with Neil Foddering (who wrote the Classic Lightweights article) so hopefully he should be able to shed some light on the frame number.
