To end this once and for all (and I think I am the ONLY authority on the subject as its MY car we are talking about, and I'M the one that mentioned it)... in the lupo, the sdi engine is fine.... it's not quick, but then if I wanted that I would have bought a GTi (in fact, we're it soley my choice, I would
)... but it's not so slow as to be dangerous either. I do 300 mile commute in it per week to Liverpool and back, and I have absolutely no complaints
It's a tad unrefined compared to a brand new tdi polo or mini or somesuch, but it cost me £1200 for what at the time was the lowest mileage of any lupo on the market... but most of all, it was 2miles down the road
