Ibis SilkTi frame / Pace RC38 forks

Cheers @Walterscot - OK so 22.5." Effective horizontal a bit longer but could be in the ball park for me.

The write up / review gives a few extra dimensions. It will be a fast frame. Do you know what year this is?

I know the original owner imported it from the States around the turn of the century. I’ll have a look for the serial number and see if I can find out the exact year for you.

The review seems to suggest the 20” frame (measured C-T) has a top tube of 23.5” (perhaps effective?) and a headtube of 5.5” (which is has).

I’m sure you’ve seen this but it’s some good bedtime reading for anyone who hasn’t https://www.ibiscycles.com/our-story/history/18-john-castellano-part-iii

Just to zoom in again, I don't think - read understatement - I will be lined up to purchase this.

I am guessing, this is from about 93 - 94 but not sure at all. The 5.5" head-tube says a lot. Pretty sure those Pace forks are well suited.

Just compared a few geometry things to a DBR Ti I sold earlier in the year and I need to behave and pass. This would make a superb build in retro jewels but with some thought a great retro-mod conversion for the 26" believer. It won't do rock gardens etc. but I reckon this would fly and certainly hold itself up against modern gravel. Plus not to mention the cool  factor is outstanding.

Back to topic. Difficult to say a price. I would say it will sell at £650 + £150 for those lovely forks eventually. The market is a bit deflated and off season, so £700 for the lot if actually serious of getting it sold in some reasonable short time frame. More if you are prepared to ship overseas.

Good retro MTB Ti is still holding a pretty good price.
