I wonder how much cash has changed hands on this site?

Oh my, I think we the RetroBike community may have a problem!

Yes I have just spent 1 and a half hours working this out

Going along the lines of what REKIBorter wrote I took a cross section of the MTB for sale section of 5 pages evenly spread through the 715 page history, i've only added up the items marked as sold (the number would be A LOT bigger but many ads have had the prices deleted) and i've been very conservative with different currecies eg 1 USD to 1 GBP

Here's my findings:
Average amount per thread
page 715 = £11.32
page 536 = £4.10
page 357 = £23.62
page 178 = £73.74
page 16 = £59.92 (I used this as most recent because most likely to have sold anything that is going to sell)

So, add them all together and divide by 5 and you get the average of £34.54

£34.54 X 48 (threads per page) X 715 =

£1,185,412.80

There's also BMX, --->98 and Roadie to add, as well as the numbers that have been deleted ... so it's probably more like atleast £2million

In answer to the original thread question
"I wonder how much cash has changed hands on this site?"
The answer would be LOTS

The guy who started Paypal now builds space rockets, so I don't begrudge him a single penny of what he's made.
The guy who started Facebook is simply a prick, and he started Facebook. Prick.

Opinions stated are my own, and any legal action will be ignored.

Well I've bought and sold the same part in two separate deals within the week... Is that a record! :D :D

In and out I dread to think how much has passed through my PP account... Still deficit overall though!! :D
