I need some advice on my build.

The frame is Ti and from the early 90’s with a black rigid fork.
XTR FD RD and shifter/break
Black king HS
Black critical canti’s
Black syncros revolutions
Black ringlet stem
Wheels are white Ind. on matrix rims with black ringle skewers

The parts in question are the handlebar and seatpost. Currently the bike has a black hyper lite bar and black syncros post, but I also have a titec/bontrager ti bar and a syncros ti post. Do I keep it all black on ti or change over to the ti parts?

I intentional used a crappy photo. I will take hi res when the bike is complete.

Looks good! My advice: Keep the black stuff but use one of the ti bars. Replace the Ringle with a black Syncros. Black rims with silver machined braking surfaces.

Can't figure out what the frame is - wishbone stays, canti mount, gusset :?:

Yikes, I'm thrown off the scent by the lack of decals :?
the cable stops well forward on the top tube, the gusset affair at the bb, the shape of the cable stop on the wishbone.
is it a Fat
keep it all black, looks stealth, in fact it already is

Thanks for the great feedback.

The frame actually has a brand new sticker set, I just photochopped it out to keep it a secret for now. Their will also be a few other little surprises once complete

I was considering the black rim idea. Can anyone let me know what was made in black back in the early 90’s that wasn’t crap? When did DT come out with their black spokes?

I like the idea of all syncros parts, but the syncros stem was a little to common back then and I like the removable face plate on the ringle. I know syncros had something similar but it was much later. It is a shame I am not using the syncros Ti post as it is a rare size and I had to buy a whole bike just to get it  .

The ti post would be nice, but you need the black post to give a nice visual balance with the black forks. I prefer the Ringle, as Syncros stems look a bit crude, and I don't see any problem with silver wheels - they're period correct and they respect the colour of the frame. Once you show us your ecals, it'll be a nice-looking bike, whatever it is.

The only thing I don't like, and it's just a personal thing, is that saddle - it looks so painfull pointing up at that angle!

Wolber made rims in the late 80's /early 90s. I have a black / very dark grey anodised set. They were on Marin Eldridges.

I don't know if they count as crap in your book. Not that I'm selling them.
