i-drive comp front mech

hi, new day new problem. yesterday while trying to get the rear derailluer working i never noticed that the front mech only reached the middle cog. my question is , i have a shimano hollow tech B/B fitted. when i change gear the chain will not go on to the outer cog. i have one spacer fitted on the B/B on the drive side with out it their is a gap. can't fit it on the other side because the pedal arm will not go all the way on. is it the wrong type of set up for this bike should i be using another type of B/B and chain wheels. sorry to keep bothering you guys i do try and find out myself but can't seem to come across the info i'm looking for. any idea's please. thanks dave.

what year i drive?

i had a deore hollowtech2 on my 2001? idrive with now issues at all,try adjusting the screws on the front mech,could be that its adjusted not far enough.

hi thanks for the reply it's a 03/04 i think. i have tried the screws but i can't get it to move over far enough.

is your shifter set to bottom and the cable tight enough? start with the simple things and work your way to the bb,some pics could help

i. ok i will go back to the start again tomorrow and re-do the set up . if all goes pear shape i will take a couple of snaps and post. thanks for the reply's

Yep. that seem to have done the trick. another lesson learned take it off the stand to tighten cables. today i do my other bike again i think this may be the problem with that one. many thanks to all...
