Dont know if anyones seen, but Portsmouth Football club is on the brink of liquidation.
I know this is a bit of a divider between you guys as some dont like the game but Im a bit of a fan and Im in the process of watching my club go down the pan.
Its not much fun watching the sporadic reports from Sky Sports about breakdowns of talks with the crooked owner while they also report how Wayne Rooney has signed a £150m deal to continue with Man U.
It goes to show you, there is money in Football, the wrong money.

Concur, I'm at the game today, albeit as a City fan. Good luck, i've been there and it is not very nice. That goes for administration and Fratton Park.

Obviously that's a reduced deal due to the extreme financial hardship of the country.. oh no wait!

I've never been a football person (much to my fathers disappointment) and seeing the obscene amount of money in it ( for some - while others struggle) puts me off it altogether.

As a United supporter, I can say that this is the first time I have been ashamed to say so.
To be held to ransom by that overwieght moron is a joke.
He'll never get my support again and I really hope this is a Fergie masterstroke to get more money for him in January.
I've follwed United since I was 4 years old and all through my school years we were shite.
I'd rather go back to those days and have players who want to play for the club and understand its traditions than pay idiots like Rooney so we can compete.

As for Pompey, I really cant believe the mess! For a club with such a devoted fanbase (you walk around Portsmouth and try to spot someone in a United, Chelsea or Liverpool shirt!) its rediculous that it can come to this.

Football stinks right now. The FA need to step in and start making sure that the people running these clubs have the clubs interests at heart, and not just their own!
I made plenty of trips to OT last season but wont be going this.
