I cheated on my long term partner over the weekend!

Is tehre something wrong with your RTS? No way that LTS should climb as well and be preferable to ride XC on?

Downhill - different story

I think the RTS climbs better, but the LTS felt more comfortable over the whole ride I did on Saturday. The rear suspemsion on the LTS just seemed more 'plush'.

Yes, it is.

Whilst both my bikes are 1996 build, the LTS was the sucessor to the RTS, as the RTS design was first revealed in 1992/1993.

I think they ran side by side for 2 maybe 3 years.

indeed - i remember lusting over the ink blue 1996 LTS2 with quadra 21r's and wondering why anyone still bought the RTS. IIRC (my LBS itd was a GT dealer and i am a fact geek) the first LTS were 1995 and the last RTS were 1997

you will soon get bored, the RTS will always come first for me, the rest are all pale imitators

I think it is grand you are prepared to admit that first bike love is not always the best you can ever get. However true love is forgiving and living with the crap as well as enjoying the good stuff

I think you will learn to love both bikes in there own way- Sort of like a mormon thing with bikes

Looking good can't wait for the decals- however that rear wheel is soooo ugly, are they any better than a spoked wheel? And if so why only on the back end?

The RTS will never leave though Gazz, trust me on that

You dont like SPIN's then??!! I've always lusted after one, for years in fact, and when MadCowKev offered me this one I jumped at the chance. I just haven't found a front one yet, hence only the rear. I dont know about any benefits over a spoked wheel. I'm running 8 speed on both bikes so I can use it on either bike.

I have just finished putting the decals on now, so will put pics up in the morning 8)
