I cant stand people that use the word NOM! FFS!

Urban Dictionary - for those occasions when Roger's Profanisaurus can't quite get the job done. :)

Back on topic, I actually like nom nom nom.
It is onomatopoeia at it's finest. It really conveys the joy that is to be had from eating something really tasty, whether that be a foodstuff or not!

Most of the other things mentioned in this thread are, however, valid grievances.

Carry on.

I have in the past used 'nom' but im slowly growing out of it, internetisms are all starting to annoy me these days, you arent limited to how many letters you type on the web and it seems to me that it takes longer to attempt to write something in txttyp, than it actually does to write it correctly, its also faster to read!

As for the mentioned ones like 'jel' and 'ream' i thought they were on about jelly, and making something wider i.e. reaming it out lol, but the ones that really get me are the 'bang tidy' and the stupid noises that keef melon idiot has everybody saying, all the boyracer cars round here have 'bang tidy' stickers on them, even if theyre standard, makes me want to kick the panel or smash a window and cross out the 'tidy' and write 'broken' next to it with a marker pen

Im at the miserable old age of 30 btw!

Wow, I must dislike the term 'bang tidy' so much I forgot that it existed
It is a bad one.

all I have to say to you lot is 'Wot eva'

I believe the correct term is now 'wot evs' or 'wt ev'

You can blame Keith sodding Lemon for that one.

Someone's also mentioned "bang on", which has actually been around for donkey's years - Leslie Phillips and Terry-Thomas both used it in 1950s B&W comedies, IIRC.

Most annoying modern annoyance - # in everyday talk.

Rain again #annoying, I forgot my coat #soaked.
"Rain again! hashtag annoying! I forgot my coat hashtag soaked!"

For your FYI it's 'king irritating.

Yeah, why do people write # in front of most things these days, I don't get that?
