Gusts of seventy plus, my 'temporary' shed is suffering now, various leaks and panels damaged here and there, lots of water collecting in my tool boxes and other stored things.

Had to back the van up to the front gates to stop them bursting in, and now the damn wind is turning Westerly, straight up my kipper! Loads to do today, but instead I am stuck here on stormwatch.

My car is sitting down at the marina, God knows what is happening to the paint with all the grit being thrown up at it.

Achhhhhhhhhh, cannae wait to get back til London for good, and reserve this end of the country for holidays in more clement conditions.

all the felt blew off my big shed today
spent half an hour shoreing it up as it hosed it down ,only for the sun to come out as i climbed down
took the dog out after that ,loads of branches and trees blown down in
the woods at the back of the house

I was expecting tales of gale force flatulence and tainted cloth. I want my click back.

Lost a few slates of the roof, my roofbox is in the neighbours garden, a small tree (15ft) landed on our car parking space in the 10 minutes my wife was out picking me up, feel pretty lucky.

Was bad for us but none of it compares what the US has gone through in the last few weeks.

some of those DIY flood defences have created beautiful scenes...

I just love the fact that for the past few minutes this thread title has been just next to the one on baggy shorts

To top it all off there is volcanic ash all over everything now, I am sure the Icelanders are doing this on purpose.

Don't complain. They had to postpone the end of the world till Oct. 21 because of the ash.
