yeah hydro dipping you can do this yourself, as long as you have a big enough container for the water you can do it with aerosol cans but metallic colours are not so good, try to just use colours that are not metallic. simply spray the paint on to the water as many colours as you want,even give it a whirl with a pencil or something to mix them together then lower what ever your painting slowly into the water once until its completely covered then swoosh the paint out of the way while keeping your item submerged under the water
pull it out carefully and hang it to dry for at least 24 hrs, with the swirling of the paint you can get some really weird effects. it does take a few times to get it right but practice makes perfect
