Looking at buying a RM, but the seller is unsure of date. Could someone advise on dating their frames. Its a Element and looking at the pictures I'm guessing 1997-1998 by looking at bikepedia.

Post a picture here is often the best way to date it, you could try posting the serial as well, but depending on age it can be useless.

That seems quite a lot for one of them, I would expect to get the whole bike for that.
