Trying to compile a wine lsit for a new restaurant...and I think they are making the classic mistake of trying to appeal to too many people

10 starters?

4 max I reckon

whatcha think foodies.....and you MM

it really depends what type of restaurant .

but for anything a little bit upmarket 10 is about right .

Well in my favourite eateries of choice ie,byfords of holt etc.

4/6 lunch time,6/8 evenings.....that is plenty and anything more is plain unworkable.......

I worked in a restaurant when I was young.....nouveau riche cruddy place really.....they had about 12 starters all the time and it causes absolute chaos......my tupenny worth for you carlucio

Really? i would have thought the opposite

and even more main courses ,

6 or 7 meats , a few fishes plus the veggies .

I think chris, you are getting muddled mate.....just because there are loads of choices doesnt mean it is posh mate.....pizza hut has loads of choices.....

if you are going to charge £50 plus per head for a meal , you need to give people choice . and be organised in the kitchen .
