Pretty much as the title suggests really, I was thinking of heading over to one of the UK meets, but prohibitively expensive on my own, which lead me to the next idea, namely if we can, and there is enough interest, an Irish meet of some sort? Of course, open to all, as we have some great trails over here you know..........

At the minute, seems more chaps would be interested in coming over to our place, which is grand- I'll get the thinking cap on, see what we can come up with, could be an awesome adventure!

I'm up for this . I think if people are making the trip over then Newcastle would be a good base with plenty of options for camping or B&B's, not to mention that it's situated at the foot of the Mourne mountains. Its about an hours drive from the ferry terminal in Larne, 45 mins from Belfast and about 1hr and 40mins from Dublin.

For trail info check out http://www.trailbadger.com/ and some of the links on there. Rostrevor forest seems to be one of the best riding spots on the island and it's only about a 20 min drive from Newcastle. I've never ridden there but keep promising myself that I'll do it soon .

My only issue is that I don't currently own a retro ride, but I do have plans to address this
