How many left? Opinions please

Bikes are for riding not for for storing. Exceptions are if its especially historic, say merckx's actual tour winner. But for production bikes ... wtf?

In the same way I loved it when James may bought his historic NIB hornby loco, binned the box and ran it on his track

Are you okay?>

Hi Jason,

Only here for a min but are you okay? You have not mentioned attics tonight!!! LOL

Here's my 1985 Raleigh 531c Competition

viewtopic.php?f=23&t=267608&hilit=raleigh+competition+1985

I picked it up from eBay in 2008, being sold from a bike shop whom had taken it in part exchange

It's 100% original, right down to the Vredestein tyres, which are totally shot, but do hold air

When it arrived, it still had cellophane wrapped around the handlebars, like it had just been delivered from the factory.

I reckon it had done less than 20 miles when it arrived

There are 1 or 2 minor marks on the paintwork, but nothing major

I thought about selling it last year, and then changed my mind!

That is a very nice bike. Getting near the time of the year to get out on it.

I think, having had a good look around since the Road Ace appeared, that my original statement was accurate. NOS bikes are rare, they are not impossible to find but they are rare.

Arguments (again) please - with supporting links!

Thanks Richard

Time for me to order some 700 x 20c (or maybe 23c) tyres for it, as I don't think the originals can take any more!

I stopped at a local pub on it last year, and a fellow cyclist was astounded to see it
