How do I fit/where do I get....

V-brake studs for Marzocchi bombers which have the lug, but not the bolt?

I've seen plenty about, but can't seem to find out where to get the studs.

Here's an example of a typical fork (not sure if this is convertable, though, as one of the lugs seems to have a cable guide in it - does this come out to reveal a normal lug into which to fit the bolt?)

Zocchis often have long bosses which thread deep into the forks and are actually structural, be careful if you're swapping them!

The structural aspect shouldn't affect the forks described as they're the cast in one piece not bolted together kind of Marzocchi's.

You'll need to measure the diameter of the bolt holes as I believe there are at least 2 going on 3 diameters available. Once you know that post up in the wanted thread on retrobike and someone will be able to help you

Best thing I've found with Marzocchis is to first find the exact instruction manual for your fork on Marzocchis website. There should be an exploded diagram inside somewhere where the part you need is listed. You then search for that part number on google along with the word "marzocchi" and you'll find someone who stocks the part.

In 99% of cases it's UK Bike Store who stocks it as they seem to have all the spares still available for Marzocchi forks! Great service too.

IIRc they're on the same industrial estate as windwave, so they just grab whatever they need

~ Next door to each other as you say, as the chap at Windwave told me when asking for a part. Windwave cannot sell you them directly. Any Marzocchi LBS can get hold of them (they just ring Windwave)

So if you cannot find the part number, give them (Windwave) a ring/email (might have to wait and remind them as I did) but they'll send someone down to check if they have the odd part and give you the code.

P.S. They're not retro forks ;)

That explains a lot! Make use of your local suppliers I suppose!
