How do i find out when my Marin Muirwoods was made

Hi,

Just got my new purchase of Gumtree home. how can I find out when it was made, serial number location etc.

Load a picture onto photobucket or similar and post it on here and someone will tell you pronto.

Dont forget to look in gallery and archive at the vast amount of marin catalogues etc see if you can find it too.

What colour is it? Rigid? Cantis?

Many thanks for the info on where to find the archive. I have identified the one I bought as a Muirwoods 1992 model with an all yellow paint finish.

It is with Simon of Paddox Cycles at the moment having an overhaul. Should get it back next Wednesday.

the 1992 Muirwoods was flouro yellow rear and black, my all flouro yellow Muirwoods is 1989

Thanks for the info.

Now I am confused. The 1992 Marin brochure on this site mentions that the colour is yellow (in fairness it does mention if it is all over) the bike I have has Shimano 200GS gears, STI gear levers,Araya rims. These are quoted in the 1992 spec.

Any help on correctly identifying the year the bike was made will be appreciated.

i can say with absolute certainty that it is an 1989 Marin Muirwoods like mine except yours is all original

this is mine same frame but the spec on mine seems to be better and mine is 1989 i know 100% that all is original as it has been my sisters bike from new and she gave it to me to "rescue it" from her foster kids
