Some of the changes sound great.. a cap of £26k a year (not quite sure how this will work, there are laws about income/situation), under-occupied tenants being dealt with and assistance for people to find work..
But I still fail to see how they could guarantee that a family would be better of in work than reliant on the state without cutting their money which would be illegal.
When I was working, beer and cigs aside (but including food), it cost me in excess of £150/week to go to work.. that's nearly £12k/year taking into account tax and N.I.... if my (rough) calculations are correct..
Add another £100/week for beer and cigs (nothing to do during breaks in SW London and high stress job) and that's a massive chunk out of the salary...
