spent the day at work mostly watching Housemartins today. thought at first they were ones that had just left the nest but watching them a bit closer i see they are collecting mud so must be still building?
there have only been a few about but today they just about filled the sky.
great to see(and hear) the busy little things.

I wish i could have watched to. instead of a bloody pc screen  Any pictures of the busy birds?

i love birds, always have done.

nothing better than sitting in the garden with a cuppa after a warm ride and watching them and the swifts overhead.

Or a $#*& dense woodpecker thinking he can get bugs out of your metal downspout at 5am. Picture half asleep, half naked man yelling and waving gun about on back deck. Luckily I lived in the country at the time.

We get House Martins every year. Love them. This year a pair started to build a nest under the eaves of an east facing wall but seem to have abandoned it.
