Currently building this up, trying to use period bits...Ok I know its not exactly retro, but in some ways its harder to find 98/99 stuff.
Its coming on quite nicely.....I am thinking about changing the bars to some black ones, and also perhaps the CK headset.
Obviously its missing a c/set, I did have a m739, but decided that it needed something later...maybe a m750/1 or perhaps a period Raceface one....( hints/help on that would be appreciated.
Saddle is a more modern WTB, but I do have a SST.K...its just not as comfortable TBH.
Oh, and due to carpal tunnel syndrome I have also made a concession with the grips.
So far she is sporting
Manitou MARS (MRD crown Carbon bridge, TI studs )
CK Nothreadset
Titec Fast AL stem
Clubroost GO-FAST risers
Avid SD Ti
XT m750 shifters
Ergo grips
X517 CD rims on XTR m950 hubs, DB spokes with SS Nippes
KORE Ti skewers.
Titec 27.0 post
WTB Rocket V saddle
XT m738 front mech
XT m750 rear mech
XT m750 cassette
Dia-compe V767 brakes with XTR m950 Carbon booster.
Its not a super lightweight by any means, but shes a respectable figure.
Just need to sort a c/set and shes done....bar the inevitable
tinkering and upgrading.
Any hints, help, suggestions regarding that would be welcomed.
Regards Keith
