Hot Mango GT Zaskar

Motodd

Retro Newbie
Hi new to the forum,
I have had this GT Zaskar sat in my shed for a number of years, since getting back into motorcycles I have not ridden it and was wondering what it might be worth. Any guidance would be appreciated. I pulled it from the shed tonight so it could do with a clean. There are no dents in the frame and does not appear to be any scratches apart from a couple of small marks where the cable has rubbed the frame. It has a set of Girvin forks (looks like the seal has gone on the shock). I have a spare set of forks which I believe are 95% complete. I would need to find them and confirm what is missing. It also has a hydraulic Magura rear brake. Hopefully the pics will provide more detail.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Cheers Jack

Re:

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I've moved your thread to the valuations section.

That's a 1999 model year Zaskar. For reference I sold the same frame in what sounds to be a similar condition for £95 posted in 2010.

Your complete bike might go for £150 - £200 perhaps, but you'd be better splitting it. Ditch the awful rear mech and sell everything else separately.
You are far more likely to find a buyer for the parts rather than the whole bike, and you'll probably make more money too.

Hi,

Thanks for the advise and moving the post. I had thought that I had put it in the correct place, but then again I have struggled to find this board. Bike has had a clean and looks better. I would rather not break the bike, it would be easier for me to sell it as one item. Obviously I would like to get as much as I can so I will try Ebay.

Cheers Jack
