hope ti glide freehub removal

ffs dont do it if you've never done it before

theres 3 springs and 3 pawls which will fly out and you'll lose them

tbh it's just a case of tapping the axle out from the drive side and the freewheel will slide/fall off no problem 8)

it's generally a pull and turn motion to get the smoothest removal,
it's true about the pawls and springs though, we lost/found/rebuilt one in the mud at gisburn forest once with no tools :)
a lightweight jacket fell from a backpack and wrapped itself round the cassette removing the freehub for us, it was up to us to re-fit it :D
(thankfully that was also my dayjob anyway)

yep, blasting down some singletrack in about '97/'98 a karrimor windstopper shell dropped into the drivetrain, wrapped the cassette and brought the freehub away, we had to pull the whole thing off, jacket and cassette still attached to get the jacket off.
springs flew into the mud, pawls hid from us in the dirt.
but when all found it went back together fine
the jacket was a little worse for wear though, a bit melty!

carefully turn and push when replacing
