I bought these very recently (last week in fact) and have decided that they are way overkill for the type of riding (or lack thereof) I do, plus they don't really suit my build colour scheme, being mostly silver with black levers, reservoir and bore caps (and my build is mostly black finishing kit).
They are in very tidy condition, with braided (silver/gold colour hoses) and work pretty well. I was advised when I bought them that the rear needed bleeding, and whilst it does work, a bleed would make it work better.
Plenty of life left in the pads.
I don't have any rotors, and emailed hope to find out if I needed to run the expensive vented discs, and their answer, and I quote was:
Hope V2 rotors available at CRC for a reasonable price: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/hope ... -prod80554 as are standard saw ones, though I'm sure you could pick some up second hand cheaply too (that was my plan before I bought some hope x2 race brakes instead, without rotors too, but have managed to sort out 160/140 floating hope rotors for about £45).
I paid £150 for them so just looking to cover what I paid, postage included.
