Hope Fatso front hub in silver, laced to Mavic 217 Sunset rim.
Now, the bad news first. The hub flanges are cracked
. Unfortunately this is a known issue with older Hope hubs, and this one has suffered.
Putting aside the cracks, the bearings are silky smooth and, cosmetically it's in fantastic condition. The 217 rim is a beauty and is virtually unworn.
I guess the hub could be used for a garage queen, or for spares (or you could make a Chris King-esque salt/pepper pot out of it!). The rim is perfect, so could be de-laced and re-used with a different hub.
You never know, Hope might even replace the hub if you got in touch!
