Hi Everyone

I am in the process of purchasing my first set of Hope mini brakes, I have been looking at their rotor size charts, I have a No.5 calliper front and a 5 or 3 for the rear, the charts say these will run 165mm front and 145mm and 165mm respectively on the rear. Having had a quick look these sizes seem to be in very short supply.

So my question is...... 'Is 2.5mm either side really going to make that much difference, or put another way can I run 160mm rotors or is it going to be a massive problem :?: '.

Any and all constructive comments welcomed :D

Cheers for looking

Mark :D

well the edge of the pad will not be in contact with the disc, that said the difference would be a slight lack in braking performance due to not all of the pad being in contact and wearing a 2.5mm lip into the pad so eventually this will make the 2 pads contact each other.

Thanks Chute

I had thought about the lip problem but thought to myself by time it got that bad the pads would be shot anyway, wouldn't they :?:

If you end up with a minty number 5 as a spare, please let me know ... ;-)

I have a 3 I could trade ?

Cheers,

Peter :D
