Hard day at work yesterday...up a silly o'clock to attend a trade tasting in London.
Tasted nearly 120 wines which really is tiring...no honestly. Thankfully the hosts had laid on a smorgasbord of fine cheese/bread/meat etc...so regular palate resting intervals were order of the day.
Some very good wines but the money-no-object stars were:-
2008 Didier Dagueneau Pouilly Fume Silex (retail about £100) ...simply stunning wine
and two superb burgundies from Hubert Lamy
2008 St Aubin La Princee
2008 Puligny Montrachet Les Tremblots
both very fine wines and very reasonable.
Three tastings next week
