I absolutely agree...the stupid costs to actually attend F1, the fact that they shake you down so you cannot bring in your own food and drink etc.
It left a nasty taste in my mouth and turned my back on it - and indeed for entertaining my clients.
Nowadays it seems to be more about selling tabs in the 3rd world. I went to the Malaysia GP in 2001 when I lived in Singapore - great circuit and fantastic sight lines but there was not much racing. The GP plus 30 mins of Proton hatchback racing. Not exactly a good day out, glad I brought the paper.
