Holdsworth Frame Numbers

066857 frame number. I am trying to identify model as it has internal cabling along top tube, in at one end and out the other and I have found no models with this in the catalogues? I do wonder if it has been resprayed at some point as 531 stickers look newish.

Hi all,
Looking for help identifying my late grandfather's old Holdsworth please.

Serial number (stamped on rear drop-out):
C1178

From what I've found on Norman Kilgariff's website, the bike could be a Cyclone from late 50's to early 60's, but the serial number doesn't seem to confirm that.
It has NERVEX and some information on the BB so that should confirm the Nervex lug design and help with ID

Any help would be much appreciated!

Update...
It appears it may not be a Holdsworth -
"frame number doesn’t fit for Holdsworth system. Second, Holdsworth used the fishtail Nervex lugs for the early/mid 50‘s Cyclone, this are the earlier horns version. All in one it looks a like an Viking Severn Valley, an Stallard or maybe an Harry Quinn...."
Based on this I might make a new post which isn't Holdsworth exclusive.

No problems on the measuring, design engineer by trade, no phone app in sight....
Will have to do this when I go over to visit. Which as I live on the outskirts of Bedford may be a little way off.
Thanks for all the input.

David
Still not measured the frame but interestingly have non matching fork and frame numbers..... But it's also only a 3 digit serial.....also had an extra mod with the braze on hanger. Some other details for reference. Now the frame is stripped will measure. Will use dodgy top tube as reference. Any recommendations for frame repairs. Yikes, that wrinkled downtube looks pretty terminal:(

Hi everyone, I picked this up a couple of months ago in amongst a load of other bits and bobs and there’s something about it that makes me think it’s special somehow and worth restoring. I’ve checked the frame number but I think that was actually related to Claud Butler instead of Holdsworth. I was also thrown off the scent by the cable attachment along the top tube and the forks - I did remove them and they’re stamped with the the same number as the BB shell. Serial number is 69566.
Any help appreciated.

Andy
