Holdsworth Equipe s/s retro racer

It is with a heavy heart I post this.....we have seen some sh*tty commutes together!

I rescued this bike from sure scrappage, it was pretty mint bar perished tyres & bar tape (oh & a shocking saddle).

I have lovingly restored it to some former glory.

1981 Orange Holdsworth Equipe

I am 6 foot tall & it fits perfect - will get c-t-c measuremnts this eve

Converted to singlespeed but can supply all the gearing foc too

Reynolds 531 forks & unsure of frame tubes

All bearings regreased recently & runs super smooth. Rear wheel has had a spoke replaced & re-trued circa 1 month ago

michelin tyres (27") circa 800 miles use & still near mint

chrome wheels totally unblemished (no piting)

sram singlespeed chain, Diamond back s/s cog

White specialized saddle, white gore ride-on brake cables

White bar tape which could have been done better

Great winter commuter etc. Simple & functional

Hi Martin,

Very interested in the Holdsworth. Any possibility to post as I won't be able to get up to Northants in the near future? I am 5'11" with 32/33" inside leg so presume it would be a pretty good fit for me?

Sounds like a pretty much perfect fit to me, the seatpost is rather short, if you wanted more height I would suggest sourcing a longer seatpost. I am a 34 leg & 6 foot exactly - fitted me great

Yeh sure

Measured the ctc & top tube last night. It's 58cm or 23" for both dimensions
