A few years ago I went to the bespoke bicycle show in Bristol and amongst the many fine bikes on display was this one which I believe was put together by FreshTripe cycles to display some of the Velo Orange components that they sell. The frameset was made by Lee Cooper as a single speed for 650 wheels but does look quite similar to a Roberts DOGS BOLX, I would like to tell you what the colour is but I am slightly colour blind and can only say it is very pleasing to the eye.
A couple of years later the framset came up on Ebay and I did consider for the length of time it takes to make a cup of tea before hitting the buy it now button. I built it up with 26" wheels, mostly Hope components, Middleburn cranks, USE seapost and a Brooks saddle, I think it looks fantastic in its basic simplicity and keep it indoors where it can be seen, it does not get ridden much as a single speed is hard work around here.
Here is a photo I took at the bike show.
